Guidepoint: What is the best part of working on the Talent Acquisition team?

Bailee: The community and global perspective. We all have a genuine interest in each other’s work despite being in different parts of the world. We all support one another and can come together to accomplish goals and initiatives.

Guidepoint: What do you find most interesting about working in the expert network industry?

Bailee: The diversity in the clients, projects, and experts. I love hearing about the success and impact that Guidepoint contributes to.

Guidepoint: What has been one of your biggest accomplishments so far in your career?

Bailee: Guidepoint opened an office in Phoenix, Arizona in July of 2021. My first initial priority was to grow that office and champion the Guidepoint brand to a market that was not super familiar with Expert Networks. Taking on this challenge took a lot of intentional strategy, resiliency, and creativity- it really pushed me to grow personally and professionally. While we are still growing the Phoenix office, I feel proud to have contributed to the growth we have seen thus far, and the relationships established.

Guidepoint: What’s something you learned unexpectedly while working at Guidepoint?

Bailee: Before working for Guidepoint I knew teamwork was essential in the workplace. Guidepoint has not only confirmed that is true but also demonstrated that it is part of their everyday culture.

Guidepoint: What is your favorite part of the hiring process and why?

Bailee: I love how excited candidates get when they receive an offer from Guidepoint. The job search is stressful and full of doubtful moments- being able to facilitate their recruitment experience and connect candidates to their future career is truly inspiring and a testament to why I love my job.

Guidepoint: As someone in talent acquisition, tell us why you think someone should work at Guidepoint:

Bailee: Guidepoint is such a unique company. Not only is our work diversely interesting and impactful, but we also have an authentic culture that focuses on rewarding hard work and developing our employees personally and professionally- you can truly show up and feel empowered to be your best self.

Guidepoint: What do you think the biggest challenge of hiring in today’s job market is?

Bailee: The job market today is candidate-driven, meaning that candidates have a lot of options to weigh. We have been working diligently to develop a strong employer brand that resonates with today’s job seekers and remain competitive when it comes to salary, benefits, and DEI initiatives.

Guidepoint: Where do you hope your career takes you in the next 5 years?

Bailee: I hope to be working in Talent Acquisition at the Global level in the next 5 years.

Guidepoint: What would you consider yourself an expert in or at?

Bailee: I would say that I have a lot of knowledge when it comes to campus recruitment strategies. I understand how to build relationships with stakeholders, create non-traditional recruitment opportunities and gain quick insight into the current generational workforce.
